AntiqueWeavings.com is the website for offerings by DeWitt Mallary of a variety of antique collectible weavings. Though specialties include Baluch, Kurdish, Shahsevan, South Persian, and Turkmen tribal and village weavings, offerings also include woven silks and embroideries from the Near East, Europe, and Sweden, and hooked rugs and coverlets from North America. And who knows what else?

about DeWitt Mallary
DeWitt Mallary started collecting Baluch rugs 40 years ago, and has been a dealer in a wide variety of antique weaving for the last twenty. He has written and lectured, primarily about Baluch rugs, around the US and Europe, including presenting and curating exhibitions at ICOC, ACOR, and the Textile Museum. He edited the English edition of Jurg Rageth’s Turkmen Carpets: A New Perspective, and teaches assorted rug courses at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Dartmouth. He has been an exhibitor at many fairs in the US and Europe, and is particularly happy to have helped build a number of important collections.
